The fall is the off season for sailors, the Winter is for the skiff life. The spring and summer are full of travel and regattas, a commuters life really, of changing locations and destination every other week as the calendar bustles through European major events and into the class events. It’s a time of constant motion for the competitive sailing circuit.
The winter season is a bit different. Usually with major trips involving shipping containers, it’s what we like to call skiff life. The whole fleet descends on a destination with too much time for the normal spring. There must be small breaks, allowing for workout routines, evening socializing, local exploration, and in depth preparation.
