This Post is meant to be a single location where sailors can keep track of the various regatta formats.  I will tyr to continually updated this log of the regattas in 2013 and their formats as more information becomes available.

Sail Melbourne 2012

5 days fleet racing plus medal race

North American’s 2013

3 days fleet racing plus one day of theatre style racing, Points to 10 format.

Miami Olympic Classes Regatta

5 days of fleet racing plus one day of theatre style racing, Bix Sixy format.

Palma Practice Regatta 2013

? days of fleet racing using 2 windward marks like a gate.

Palma World Cup 2013

3 Days of Qualifying, carry only place through, 2 days of fleet racing, 1 day of theatre style racing using low point scoring

Hyeres World Cup 2013

Not yet announced by ISAF

Garda, Holland, Sail4Gold, Kiel Week 2013

EuroSAF regatta format. 2 days of qualifying, 2 days of fleet racing, 1 day of theatre style racing.  I think the scoring is you take your place from the regatta into the theatre and then race 3 races.  Not confirmed.

British Grand Prix 2013

June 13-15 (Weymouth, right after Sail for gold) 1 day of fleet racing, 2 days of theatre style racing where all teams will get to race in the theatre for 2 days.  The format will be day 2, tournament style knock out round using points to 10 format to qualify into finals fleets.  Points to 10 format for the final day for all sailors.

European Chapionships 2013

6 days long.  Theatre Style on final day.  Exact day usage and scoring system to be announed following the Palma World Cup.

Youth World Championship 2013

4 days long.  Format not yet set.

Polish Grand Prix 2013

3 days long.  Format not yet set.

Finish Grand Prix 2013

Format not yet set.

World Championship 2013

6 days long.  Theatre Style on final day.  Exact day usage and scoring system to be announed following the European Championships.

Shortly after the World Championships, the 49er Class Association will put forward a recommendation to ISAF regarding our preference for the 2016 Olympic Regatta format.
