Jana Germani

Born in Trieste in 1999, Jana Germani is one of Italy's leading skiff helms and a Paris 2024 Olympian, where she and Giorgia Bertuzzi finished fifth.

The pair, sailing together since 2020, have a rich CV: U23 World champions in 2021, European silver in 2023 and World Championship bronze in Lanzarote in 2024.

Germani has also broken into the professional ranks as part of the Red Bull Italy SailGP project, and reunited with Bertuzzi for the new Olympic cycle.

Giorgia Bertuzzi

Giorgia Bertuzzi crews for Trieste's Jana Germani in one of Italy's most accomplished FX teams.

Together since 2020, they won the U23 Worlds in 2021, European silver in 2023 and World bronze in Lanzarote in 2024 before racing at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where they came fifth.

After a year away from the boat, Bertuzzi returned to Olympic sailing in 2026 to reunite with Germani in pursuit of Los Angeles 2028.
