Katharina Schwachhofer

Katharina Schwachhofer, a helm from Lake Constance sailing for the Wurttembergischer Yacht-Club, leads a hugely successful junior 49erFX team with crew Elena Stoltze.

The pair were crowned both Junior World and Junior European Champions in 2025, having taken Junior Worlds silver the year before, and famously dominated the 2024 Kiel Week.

They train through the winter in Sicily as part of the Southside Sailing Team, building toward Los Angeles 2028.

Elena Stoltze crews for Katharina Schwachhofer in one of Germany's standout young FX crews.

The Lake Constance duo capped a brilliant junior career by winning the 2025 Junior World and Junior European titles, after Junior Worlds silver in 2024 and a commanding Kiel Week performance.

Honing their craft on winter training blocks in Sicily, Stoltze and Schwachhofer are among the most promising teams aiming for Los Angeles 2028.
