The 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 are three of the ten sailing events at the Olympic Games, and the pathway most of the world’s best professional sailors came through — at the SailGP Season 5 opener, 41 of the 92 crew had raced our boats, and at Halifax in June 2026 all three podium drivers were 49er graduates.
The class association markets partnerships across the fleet, our championships, our live race coverage and our digital channels — including jib advertising rights that no other Olympic sailing class holds. Our calendar runs unbroken from Palma in spring 2027 through to the Olympic regatta at the Port of Los Angeles in July 2028.
