Paris 2024 Olympic Champion Odile van Aanholt with her new crew for LA 2028
Odile van Aanholt (born 14 January 1998) is an Olympic champion: she won 49erFX gold at the Paris 2024 Games with Annette Duetz, having already been crowned World Champion in 2021.
Now competing as Odile Lambriex-van Aanholt following her marriage to fellow Dutch 49er sailor Bart Lambriex, she has begun a fresh campaign toward Los Angeles 2028 with a new crew, Karlinde van Arendonk.
She remains one of the most accomplished sailors in the entire fleet.
Karlinde van Arendonk, 29, took an extraordinary route into Olympic sailing. A former elite field-hockey player from Zeewolde, she answered a Dutch federation talent call seeking long, strong elite athletes.
After a search process of under a year, she was chosen to crew for Olympic champion Odile van Aanholt from June 2025.
The pair confirmed their partnership for the Los Angeles 2028 cycle, a striking cross-sport success story in the making.
