Manon Peyre, a 23-year-old from the South of France, is regarded as one of the sharpest young tacticians in the fleet, prized for her precision and instinct in close-quarters racing.

She became Junior World Champion in 2023 and, alongside her sailing, is pursuing a Master's degree in International Business at Paris Dauphine University.

Teaming up with Amelie Riou only in January 2026, she helped the brand-new crew win the French national title and then finish sixth at the 2026 World Championship in Quiberon, fighting for the podium into the final races in a remarkable result for such a new partnership.

Amelie Riou is no newcomer to the top of French sailing. Through 2023 and into the Paris 2024 cycle she campaigned the 49erFX with former partner Lara Granier, the Marseille-based duo chasing a home Olympic berth and signing as Musto ambassadors along the way.

She joined forces with helm Manon Peyre at the start of 2026, and the new pairing made an immediate splash, winning the French national championship and qualifying for the medal races at the 2026 World Championship in Quiberon.

There they finished sixth and stayed in podium contention until the closing stages, an exceptional result for a crew formed only months earlier.
