Dylan and Alain teamed up at the end of 2006, when they got selected for the Skandia Team GBR Olympic Transistional Squad.

The 2007 season was a difficult one with a lot of learning to be done in a short space of time. After a good season they got selected for the Skandia Team GBR Olympic Development squad.

Then they have been going up in the rankings, finishing the 2009 worlds in 13th place before smashing the 2010 worlds coming in 5th overall. To top the year off Dylan and Alain finished in style with a SIlver Medal at the Perth International Regatta. This result shot them into the Performance squad before having a great year in 2010.

Through 2011 and 2012 they were locked in a selection battle for the London Olympics, during this time they became the European Champions and medaled at the Sail for Gold regatta. After missing out on selection for the Olympics, they took some time off and got involved in other forms of sailing.

They wanted to hit the ground running in 2013, which they pulled off pretty well! They collected there first World Cup regatta win, a Silver medal at the Sail for Gold, became the 49er European Champions for the second time and narrowly missed out on a medal at the worlds finishing 4th.

Helsinki take 2

We are back in Helsinki once again for the 49er Europeans. The last time we were here was back in 2011, which was an intense time mid selection for the London 2012 Olympic games. We had just had a bad regatta in the UK and needed to do something to show the selectors we were still the hunt and not to end selection early. When it came down to it we pulled through coming away as European Champions and finishing 2nd overall to Nath and Goobs in the Open Championship. It was a good regatta for us and coming back here brings fond memories. Racing starts on Tuesday with 6 intense days of racing up to Sunday, we are hungrier than ever for another Gold medal lets see how we go.
