Transportation to Gdynia

Geographical Location

Thanks to its geographical location and developed transport infrastructure, Gdynia is easily accessible by air, sea, rail, and road.

By Air

The most environmentally friendly way to get to Gdynia is by air. Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is located about 25 km from Gdynia (about 25 minutes by car). The airport offers regular connections to major international hubs.

By Road

Gdynia and its port are well-connected with national and international road networks. You can reach Gdynia via the E28 from the west (about 6 hours from Berlin) or via the A1 motorway (E75) and E77 from the south (Łódź or Warsaw).

By Sea

Stena Line offers regular ferry connections from Gdynia to Karlskrona (Sweden). Ferries from Gdańsk sail to Nynäshamn, Helsinki, and Riga.

By Rail

Poland’s railway system is well-developed and serviced by several operators. Gdynia’s main train station offers connections throughout the country and beyond. SKM and PKM trains provide fast and reliable transport across the Tri-City area, running 24/7. The nearest stop – Gdynia Główna – is just 15 minutes walking distance from the regatta village.

Official parking for participants in the Gdynia Sailing Days regatta – free parking is valid from 5 July to 27 July 2025.Before 5 July 2025, the price list as below applies:

Price includes entry of car with trailer.

In case of an accident:

Water Emergencies

  • All race committee, judge, and coach boats serve as rescue units.
  • Each motorboat must carry a first-aid kit.

Life-Threatening Injuries

  • Call 112 immediately.
  • Notify the race committee via VHF.
  • Transport the injured to the marina’s medical point if possible.
  • Inform shore security staff.

Serious but Non-Life-Threatening Injuries

  • Notify the race committee via VHF.
  • Transport the injured person safely to land.
  • Proceed to the first aid station.

Weather Monitoring

In case of severe storms or safety risks, the race committee will order all boats to return to safe harbor.

Racing Days will be from Monday, 14 July 2025 to Friday, 18 July 2025.
The time for the first warning signal each racing day will be 11.00 hrs.
Number of races: maximum of 15 races will be sailed.
On the last scheduled day of racing no warning signal will be made after 16.00 hrs.
